Gayle's Meaty Baked Ziti

Recipe can be halved or frozen
Serves 12.
Ingredients
- 1 package part-skim Ricotta cheese OR -- (15 ounce)
- 16 ounces low fat cottage cheese
- 2 eggs -- beaten
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley or 2 teaspoon dried
- 1 package ziti -- cooked and drained
- 2 jars Ragú Chunky Gardenstyle Pasta Sauce OR -- (40 ounces approximately) any marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 pound ground beef or Italian Sausage -- cooked and crumbled

Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, combine Ricotta cheese, eggs, Parmesan cheese and seasonings.
- In another bowl, thoroughly combine cooked pasta and sauce.
- Place half the pasta mixture in a 13" × 9" baking dish.
- Evenly top with cheese mixture and remaining pasta.
- Sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese the last 10- 15 minutes.
- Bake 35-40 minutes or until bubbly.
